For people who get stuck on "Waiting on Server" I could not fix it in time but you can expect it to be fixed by next week. The server wasn't ready in time for the update.

For people that haven't received their evolution stone codes for donating $10 or more, I'm still sending those out, if you really want yours right away send me an email and I will get it to you as soon as possible.

I sent the update to the following websites:

You can download the apk, swf or exe by clicking on the Game Downloads tab at the top of the blog.

We have gotten a lot of great artist applications, and if you sent one in and haven't heard from us it doesn't mean you aren't getting picked, Dan and I still need to sit down and decide who has what we are looking for. For those that are interested in applying you can still apply.

Dan and I are looking to add more members to our development crew and right now what we need the most is a capable artist. Somebody that wants to work with us on our next games. This is a paid position. All communication will be done online. Here is what we are looking for:

  • A passion for games.
  • A passion for making art.
  • 18 years or older.
  • Must have a portfolio.
Also these next requirements are extra but if you have these it will make you more likely to be picked.
  • Be able to animate.
  • 3D modeling experience.
  • Vector art
  • Concept art
  • Game development experience (web games, console games, apps)
  • Flash experience.
We can't wait to check out everybody's art :) so just email me at sotero86@gmail.com with "Artist Position" as the subject and we can talk about further details.

I have a small request, I wish to take next week off from updating, basically so I can rest a bit and get some other things in order. Let me know what you think.

30 Slots Filled!

As expected, the rate of sales is slowing. We will likely see another bump around the first through the fifth as people are paid.

I have had some questions about the armor upgrade and making individual weapon arms available rather than a full set. I am always keen to do what I can and will speak to my caster on Monday to see if I can work something out.

If I can reach an agreement with the caster, I will be contacting all those who purchased an armor upgrade to find out if they would like to make any changes to their current order, and issuing any partial refunds that are applicable.

Have a great weekend everyone!

23 Slots Filled!

I just wanted to give a tickler and say thank you to all the supporters who spent thier hard earned cash. We are now nearly half way through the open slots for the pre-orders, I expect the pace to slow from here, but time will tell.

The Leviathan Crusader seems to be the most popular at the moment and many orders have included extra weapons.

Please keep in mind the Crusader comes as pictured and any extra weapons will not have the added armor for the optional arms... If you need to have armor for these optional arms, pick up an Armor Upgrade and specify what weapon arms you need armor for. If you had allready placed an order and need to add this item, send me an email so that I can send you an invoice. That way your not paying full shipping fees for the added item.

Just a reminder, you may need to clear your browser cache if your not seeing this, when you go here.
IE has a nasty habit of not showing new content if you have visited a site before ;(

All the best,
Mark-

Please read the blurb on the main models page regarding orders.

To all of those who have patiently waited for this release, I thank you!

DreamForge-Games is pleased to announce the release of the Leviathan Crusader!

Within the next few days, we will open up both the Leviathan Mortis and the Leviathan Crusader for Pre- Orders. Pre-Orders will be given at a reduced price for a limited quantity of models. I will update the website and announce the opening for pre-orders on the DreamForge-Games Blog. I expect to open pre-orders on Thursday the 28th or Friday the 29th of April and will make an announcement here on the DreamForge-Games Blog.

This highly poseable model contains 143 plastic resin components and stands 8.5” tall to the shoulders. 9.5” tall including the reactor stacks. The assembled kit weighs nearly two pounds. The kit comes with all components required to build one Leviathan Crusader. (1) Main body legs and upper arms. (1) Right hand Vulkan Cannon (1) Left hand Executioners Blade (1) Armor Upgrade for listed components.
The Leviathan Crusader is armed with a right hand Vulkan Cannon and left hand Executioners Blade. The main weapon arms are hot swappable allowing for quick change out to any of the optional weapons available separately. Suitable for a display model or tabletop gaming.
*Not recommended for the novice model builder.
*Instructions for assembly are a web published PDF format.

Background Fluff:
The Crusader was developed to fill a need for a more heavily armored Leviathan. What was produced is widely regarded as the most balanced and finest design possible. Possessing remarkable speed and survivability while not sacrificing offensive capability, it is often compared to its 20th century counterpart the Panzerkampfwagen V (Panther tank).

It holds the distinction of being the most widely produced VR5 Leviathan in existence. The Crusader can be found in every faction’s arsenal. At 160 years old, the design is still innovative. Independent households often barter away vast planetary resources to acquire a Crusader as these Leviathans lend credibility and prestige to the households standing within its parent faction. A faction ruler knows that when the household is called upon to fight they will answer with a very capable force.

Eisenkern uses this Leviathan as a powerful bartering chit with The Brotherhood. Tithing ten per year to the order they have managed to make themselves indispensable. The Brotherhood, by its charter, cannot maintain Leviathan manufacturing capability. This often gains Eisenkern an unfair advantage in dispute resolution with other factions.

Armed with the Executioners Blade and the massive Vulkan Cannon the Crusader can own its corner of the battlefield. The supplementary armor adds considerable weight to the design but the twin Maybach reactors are still able to handle the extra load. Equipped with oil stacks the Crusader can overcharge its reactor and deliver a withering close combat attack as it channels power to the plasma blade. There has been some recent debate about replacing the oil stacks with capacitor coolers but most pilots are unwilling to give up the combat edge.

What you need to know about the pre-orders:
1) There will be a limited number of pre-order slots available. (50)
2) I will give 30 days before closing the pre-orders, this may happen much sooner if the volume of orders is high and we reach our maximum 50 slots. (Limit of two kits per household)
3) Pre-orders must be paid in full with Paypal.
4) What can you expect for wait time before a package arrives at your door? (30 days (or less) to take all pre- orders, 45 to 60 days to receive the casts from the supplier, 3 to 5 days in transit to you if you live in the US or Canada, overseas shipping will take a bit longer).
5) Orders will be filled in the order that they were received.

Senji Studios, with more incredible terrain.

Pat Ohta over at Senji Studios put his creative talents to work with another piece of beutiful terrain. After seeing the background building pictured in the Leviathan Mortis CG render, he decided to make a terrain element based on the structure.

I thinks it worth noting that Pat created this wonderful work free of charge… I’m just blown away by his generosity.  If you have the chance I highly recommend you drop by his web site.

Thanks again Pat!

Interview posted on Apocalypse 40k

I just completed an Interview with renowned prop man Alec Peters from Propworx. Evidently Alec is a fan of my work, I must admit I’m a fan of his as well. This gentleman has one hell of a job! He collects and sells movie props from big title productions, such as Star Trek, Star Gate and many others. You can find his website here.

In his off time he runs one of the largest 40k based Apocalypse clubs this side of the Mississippi. You can see the interview on his 40k blog here.

A simple lake shore for Trasimene

Continuing the work for the Battle of Lake Trasimene game at Sheffield Triples next month, this weekend I tackled the lake shore. This will form one side of the battlefield and is 12 foot long (the table will be 14 to 16 foot long). I could, of course, just declare one edge of the table as the impassible lake shore - but there is no fun in that, and the casual onlooker might not grasp the predicament of the Roman army - trapped and ambushed between hills and lake.

I decided to construct the shore from 2 foot sections of 2mm thick MDF. Each length is 8 inches wide. I painted the water first using household emulsion with a bit of artists acrylic and ink added for some subtle shading - it's a bluesy, greensy, black. I then applied some muddy bits using artists acrylic (tubed stuff) in a thick sloppy manner; once dry it was dry brushed, lighter towards the drier bank. I then applied two coats of yacht varnish to the water.

I wanted a proper bank that was higher than the water, but only slightly as I didn't want it to look like an 'embanked canal'. I used string, glued on with wood adhesive, back filled with Plasticine to give a constant height. This was sealed with a couple of layers of wood adhesive, painted and then flocked. It has the look of a lazy lake creeping up onto the gently sloping land and I'm happy with it.

This kind of terrain always looks a bit dead. It needs some vegetation to add some life. But adding vegetation to the lake pieces makes them hard to store; so I decided on applique reeds, made from the natural bristles of a sweeping brush, painted green, and glued to penny pieces to go on the mud. The rest can be dressed with existing terrain pieces.

The finished (I still have to drybrush some reed bases) and 'dressed' lake shore: That will do nicely.

I'm now planning the hill sections which will go along the other three edges. These will be made from 2" thick insulation boards. Using the baize cloth, which can be 'thrown over' them, will mean that they only need cutting to shape - the baize cloth! - there is method in my madness.

What's next? Fixing bugs, Ninja-ja alpha, help wanted, making pokemon more fun!

Hey guys, ready for another week of Sam & Dan Games?

First I want to say that Ninja-ja Alpha is coming very soon, by the end of April, it will first be on the Android Marketplace for 99cents. The game will be updated either weekly or bi-weekly and will not interfere with PTD's update schedule. Buying Ninja-ja will get you a shiny pikachu code for your PTD file, just a small thank you for buying Ninja-ja and supporting me and dan :) We will also bring the game to the iphone/ipad and also a web version for those of you who don't own an android phone.

Okay now on to Pokemon Tower Defense :)

Get your shiny pidgey code this week by going to http://www.playtowerdefensegames.com/blog/pokemon-mystery-gift/?pokemongame and following the clues. Use the code as many times as you want!

This next update, I will continue to increase the level cap, add some new pokemon, and a new story mode level, as well as fixing bugs. Stay tuned to this post for progress on the update :)

5 new pokemon (2 are blue exclusive, and 2 are red exclusive):

  • Final Touches and getting ready for publishing (100%)
  • Clefable and Clefairy's base stats were flipped, clefairy was stronger than clefable, this is now fixes for 2.3 (100%)
  • Pokemon that evolve with stones will now learn new moves (100%)
Lastly, I want to talk about breaking some pokemon game rules in order to make the game more fun :)

This update pokemon that evolve with stones will still learn moves but at different levels than the pre evolved forms, I think it will be more fun in general to have this change instead of following the tradition that is in the game.

As always let me know what you think :) Even though I don't answer every post and email I do read them all.

Pokemon Tower Defense: New Update is out! Alpha v2.2! Hitting a million views, and easter mystery gift hunt!

Some good news! We hit over a MILLION views on newgrounds this week, I'm really grateful of you guys for getting me there and I can't wait to see how far we go!

My friend over at playtowerdefensegames.com has created a Mystery Gift Code Hunt for you guys if you go to this link http://www.playtowerdefensegames.com/blog/pokemon-mystery-gift/?pokemongame , you will get hints to find out a very special mystery gift code! This code will only be available for a week so get it while it last. Also you need v2.2 for this code to work!

As you might have seen/heard/read the game got taken down again from the android marketplace :(. So you guys will have to download the apk and install it manually. If you get any errors or just don't know how to do it, then feel free to check out our forums, somebody there will gladly help you out. I don't know a whole lot about how to install it ect. >.<

I sent the update to the following websites:

Newground - Updated
PlayTowerDefenseGames - Updated
Gamerfish - Updated
Mofunzone - not yet updated
Freeworldgroup - Updated
funnygames - not yet update
Minijuegos - Updated

If you don't play on these sites I would recommend playing on one of them, don't ask me to send an update to any other site, just tell the owner to grab the updated game from one of these.

Lastly, thanks again for all the support, and have a Happy Easter!

Great Scot, I think I have it!

I hung the cloth on the clothes line again today and added another four tins of spray paint to the mix. These included, three quarters of a tin of  caramel; a third of a tin of desert sand; three more tins of yellow. Each tin was 300ml.

To remind you of how I left the cloth last time, here is a photo.
Here is how it looks now - much, much better, I think.

Finally, the cloth with an off cut (even I will never need a 23 foot long cloth) to show the overall change of shade.

This job is now done. Next on the 'terrain to do list' will be the hill shapes and lake shore for The Battle of Lake Trasimene. This will be The Ilkley Lads demo game for Sheffield Triples next month. Time is pressing and running out fast; and I still have another 150 figures to paint and base.

Katapeltis running on iPhone!

A much better and enjoyable experience comes finaly on the iPhone.
Trailer coming soon!

Game coming soon at the iPhone App Store!

Good God, it's still too green!

Two images of my 'snooker green' baize cloth after having sprayed it - and it's still too green! The effect I was hoping for can be seen in the middle of the first shot - a pale, mottled, green. Much of it is the colour of the second shot.

The cloth is 16' x 6' 6". I knew that I would have to use a lot of spray paints to get a good effect (it's a big space) but, quite obviously, I have underestimated the amount needed. I started with a tin of black to 'take the edge off' and darken the green. Then a tin and a half of dark brown, then half a tin of beige, then a tin of dark green, then a tin of lighter 'grass' green, then the remainder of the beige, then 3 tins of yellow. When it was hanging on the washing line (for spraying), in bright sunlight, it looked quite light in tone; when I brought into artificial light it's greenness was shocking.

I've ordered another three tins of yellow and a tin of 'caramel'. This should be enough for the finish I'm after - I hope.

My advice to anyone doing this job is to follow the steps I took (darkening the cloth first, with black, dark brown and dark green) as this has given a good depth of shade (I'm not sure that the light green was worth the effort, though the beige worked well) - but when you buy the lightening yellow tone to bring it all 'up' and bind it all together buy lots and LOTS, as you will need cans and cans of the stuff.

For those with a mind to price, the paint bill (including the extra tins) currently stands at £60.00. Not cheap, but the cloth cost me nothing - thanks, Ken.

Pokemon Tower Defense: What's next? Doing the impossible. How to get your Mystery Gift code. You guys are correct.

Hey guys, I've been reading pretty much all the comments, haven't had the chance to really answer anything. Each week it gets harder and harder to answer all the great and not so great questions. I plan to put up an FAQ with answers to most of the questions you guys have.

I don't really need to wait for the poll to be over to know that level 8 needs to be toned down, but for those of you that liked the challenge you don't have to worry the level will show up as a challenge mode level.

Speaking of challenge mode, beating a challenge mode level for the first time will be how you get a mystery code, each level will give out it's own mystery code.

Now to talk about the next update.

Shiny versions of all current wild and catchable pokemon!
Challenge Mode Levels!
Level cap raised to..........

I want to raise the level cap to 40 but I don't know if I will make it in time so I will be posting a list of what needs to be done to get there, I might make it to 30 or maybe 22 who knows, maybe I will reach this impossible goal.

Challenge Level (75%)

Level 25 Reached!
27 New Moves (100% done)
5 New Evolutions (100% done)

Shiny Pidgey added, 0.01% for it to show up when a pidgey shows up.
Shiny Geodude added, 0.01% for it to show up when a geodude shows up (Mt. Moon).

There might not be a new level this week... I really want to get the cap up as much as possible to try to push the game towards a more completed stage so that levels can be done quicker.

Also I wanted to talk about the bugs that people had mentioned and what's my priority right now.

1. Making Storage work. Storage now has different boxes that you can store 21 pokemon on each box.
2. Fixing the bug that makes the enemy stop moving. Thanks for all the info!
3. Fixing Geodudes attacks.
4. The password field on the Save Profile Online page will now hide your password as your type it.
5. Added two rare candies to Viridian Forest 1 making the total 5. This will make it easier for new players to beat the level.
6. Storage pokemon now have their levels displayed.
7. You can now save a new profile using the same email and password as before, thus overriding the original one.
8. When playing from a website, exe, or swf, when dragged, the pokeball and pokemon will be centered directly on your mouse cursor.
9. The game will now remember your sound settings.
10. The disclaimer at the start of the game will only show up once.
11. On Level 1, Professor Oak will only tell you how to play once, if you go into checking a pokemon and return to the party screen he won't show up again.
12. In the pokemart fixed an issue that you could continue to buy a stone on the "thanks for buying" and "you don't have enough money" screens. Thanks Keyser!

Also if you don't play on the websites I mentioned before on the previous blog, please consider playing on one of them because I don't plan to send updates to 20 different sites.

As always let me know what you think! Until next time.

Pokemon Tower Defense: Level 8 is out! Alpha v2.1

Level 8 is done are ready to be played, but please read this first before you go!

You will know if you are playing the new version because it will say Alpha v2.1.

First of all, I want to explain the pokemart. You go to the pokemart you buy the stone that you need, then you go select a level to play and on the party select screen you press on the pokemon that you want to use the stone with. You will see a button there "Use Item". Click on that, if the pokemon can use that stone you will see it there.

Second, on Level 8 - Mt Moon 1, there is a spot on the map that you put your pokemon in that looks brown instead of the usual orange. That spot is meant only for Rock Type pokemon! It's not a bug, only rock type pokemon can go there.

Third, codes for evolution stones for people who donated in the past will have to wait until next week, I didn't get a chance to add that into the game.

I will have a proper inventory screen later on, and the pokemart will get prettier as time goes on.

Fourth, I have currently sent the swf file to Newgrounds- Updated, Gamerfish-Updated, Freeworldgroup, Mofunzone, playtowerdefensegames - updated, funny games, OneMoreLevel.com. Let me know if there is a site that you want me to send the update to!

Lastly, the level is possible to finish, trust me I have done it without cheating. Yes the level is difficult, enjoy.

Pokemon Tower Defense: This week's update: Progress List

It's that time again. Here I will list out all my current objectives for this week. The main one is the pokemart! A new story level, (you can actually lose!) and some new pokemon. This week we are heading to Mt. Moon and meeting up with Brock. The sad news is that there will be no level cap increase, but I promise you all that next week the cap will increase ( I think).

Level 8 (Mt. Moon):

Intro (100% done)
Actual Level (100% done)
Ending (100% done)

New Pokemon (5) with New Moves (16) (100% done)
New Evolutions (5) with Evolution Stone(100% done)
Shiny Pikachu & Raichu (100% done) (Really low chance of him showing up, prize for different small contest)

The poll results for what you guys wanted to be done first are in! 14126 votes!
Pokemart got 46%, Shiny Wild Pokemon got 34%, and a Challenge Mode level got 19%!
Pokemart is the winner, but you can't have a pokemart without an inventory so that is coming out also.

Pokemart (100% done)

Small change in plan, there won't be an inventory screen, for now you can use the items on the pokemon's profile page (You get to it by clicking on the pokemon when selecting your party, then clicking on "Use Item")

Bugs/Fixes:(These are the ones I have finished, I'll be adding more as I get them done)
  1. Pidgey should now appear on route 3. (This is why some spearow had pidgeys moves)
  2. Pokemon in Viridian Forest 2 will give out more money to compensate how difficult they are.
  3. Metapod in Viridian Forest 2 were missing an attack, so I made sure that they have it now.
  4. Removing a pokemon that is currently in your party will now remove it correctly.
  5. For Marketplace app users, you will only need to put the code once, then you won't ever need to put it, it will go straight to the game.
  6. For app users, the game will no longer keep your screen on when you exit the game.
  7. Your pokemon "towers" will now animate.
  8. Added Nintendo/Game Freak copyright and trademark acknowledgments.
  9. Added more room to the bottom of the level on Brock's Gym, to make it easier to select pokemon on the bottom row.

As the week goes on I will be updating this post quite a bit. So stay tuned. As always let me know what you think :)

The troll invasion, and my way of stopping them...

Update: Posted both an exe and apk. This is the last apk I will post so make sure you import to the new app (more info on the blog below)

Seems like a lot of people are taking issue with the game. Their main gripe is about the donations and the things you get for donating. I don't want you guys to have to deal with these trolls, so... I will let them win.

Donating will no longer get you anything. Only donate if you feel like it, but I will not give out anything.

Of course, anybody who donated prior to this post will get their gifts. Have a good day.

Trolls, happy now?

Pokemon Tower Defense: Better ways to update and What is PTDLock?

UPDATE: Newgrounds has the latest version now (2.0.2) working on getting an exe/app, and apk out. Also looks like live updates is going to win so I'm preparing that also.
UPDATE: Added a rapid share link for swf file.

I'm publishing a new update (2.0.2) it fixes a couple of issues, if you aren't having problems just wait for the weekly update.

Fixes:
  • When getting mew using the mystery gift code sometimes it was not adding him correctly.
  • Now you can change what email you want to save your online profile in, this will help people that can't save properly.

I know a lot of you have had a lot of trouble getting to the new update (2.0.1), I apologies for any inconvenience that you might have had, I hope newgrounds will update tomorrow (monday).

Also I know that a lot of people also struggle with the apk file.

I want to bring in some answers for this.

First is the return to the marketplace, but this time we want to stay hidden, this means no reviews, no ratings.
I called it PTDLock, to play it just enter the code "ptd" and it should play like the regular game after that, I will no longer be posting the apk file.

https://market.android.com/details?id=air.sdgames.PTD&feature=search_result

I'm also replacing the exe for just a plain swf file that you can run on windows/macs. (See the Download Game Tab for the file)

For the web I'm considering using Mochi Live Updates, this basically lets me send one swf to all sites. When I update the game all of those will be automatically updated so no more waiting around. The only downside to this method is that Mochi forces me to put an ad at the beginning of the game (not during gameplay, only shows up once). So I want to ask you guys if you are okay with that, let me know what you think on the poll and on the comments below.

Use the save profile online/import profile online to make these transitions easier.

Pokemon Tower Defense: This week's update: Level 7 Work in Progress List

This week's update is starting to shape up so I figured I would keep you guys updated on what's happening. Let's get to it.

Fixes/Tweaks: Pretty much all of these fixes are due to feedback that all of you have given me, either directly or indirectly. So keep it coming :) (Note: All these fixes are finished and will be available on this update coming up)
  1. Fixed badges showing up on profiles that didn't earn the badge yet.
  2. Level Select screen no longer requires scrolling (more of grid style).
  3. Shiny pokemon will get more experience per kill, roughly 50% more.
  4. If you have your sound fx and music muted, leveling up or evolving will no longer be heard.
  5. Lowered the amount of time the evolving popup window stays on before your pokemon evolves.
  6. Added an small animation to your pokemon when it's evolving.
  7. Pokemon that can't be captured now have a dark blue life bar.
  8. The game version number will be on the main screen so you know which version you are playing.
  9. Game saves more often now. (When you exit a level, and when you exit or enter the party select screen).
  10. Changed "Attack Speed" to "Attack Cooldown" in the attack description so that it makes more sense what that number really means.
  11. When your pokemon is ready to level up but you don't have enough money, he will have a red arrow but it won't blink anymore. Once you have enough money it will blink. This applies both to the party select screen and when you are playing a level.
  12. The graphic for Water gun is now 50% faster (Thanks zShenanigans)
  13. Pressing the back button (on phones) will in a level, will now show the exit confirmation dialog box.
  14.  The game will no longer let your phone go into sleep mode while it is on.
  15. Route 1 (Level 2) -Changed the spot close to the candy, moved it up so that it's easier to select your pokemon in that spot and added more room at the bottom of the level so that you can select the pokemon at the bottom row.
  16. Route 2 (Level 3) -
  17. Moved the spot close to the candy to make it more useful.
  18. Pewter Gym (Level 5) - You will not have a pokemon taken away from you on this level, the intro was changed slightly to make up for this.
  19. Viridian Forest (Level 4) - Slightly tweaked how the bug catcher meets joey.
  20. Route 3 (Level 6) Fixes -
  • Missing background in the intro.
  • Skip button showing up before you viewed the intro at least once.
  • All free roam pokemon will now give out money, but at a reduced rate. (1 per pokemon)
  • Added more room at the bottom of the level so that you can select pokemon at the bottom row.

Other stuff:

I know I said other features (pokemart, inventory) were coming but I might not have time to finish them. If I do end up having time I will post them here. As usual let me know what you think!

Also if you haven't already read the blog post before this one to check out the next game I'm working on Ninja-ja! Thanks.

Who's Dan? and what has he been up to? Preview of Ninja-ja!

Backstory time!
It was about five years ago that I decided it was time to get a real job. I ended up getting hired at a warehouse that some of my buddies worked in. It was there that I meet a young fellow named Dan. He seemed smart and very into video games. His brother who also worked there introduced us when he found out that we both had played World of Warcraft at some point. So Dan and I started talking about games and I was already into making games by then but had never finished anything. So I started throwing ideas at him that he could quickly and efficiently break down and destroy. He could tell me exactly why it wouldn't work. So for months I tried to come up with a something that even he couldn't find a fault to. Well I did come up with something, and finally got his attention. Also turns out that he was a graphic artist, so it was a perfect match.

So we both sit down and bounce ideas off each other until we reach an idea that we can both agree on. So far we have released one game together. While I have branched out and made 3 separate smaller games on my own, this next game, Ninja-ja, is our second game together.

Usually I come up with the game concept and we team up together to flesh out all the details, but one day I went to Dan and said hey why don't you come up with a concept. Dan already had one in mind even before I asked, and that is Ninja-ja.

Ninja-ja is designed to be played on a multi-touch device (most smart phones). You use two fingers (usually your thumbs) to guide your weapon where you want it to go.

Let me know what you guys think, in the comments below.

PTD: This week's edition of What's Next?

Okay so a new week a new poll and new updates to come. Let's go!

For the poll I want you guys to decide part of the story, sorta like interactive story telling. You and Joey will be going back to Viridian Forest to capture and train some more. So should Joey capture a pikachu on his visit there? You decide!

Also I will be adding a FAQ Page soon that should answer a lot of questions, from updating the game, to why does Brock keep taking my pokemon. (Because you dropped it), also an unofficial forum seems to have made an appearance check it out and maybe we will make it an official forum :)

This week is not only about Pokemon Tower Defense. I will be showing off "Ninja-ja" our next game! It will be a reallllyyyyy early alpha version, but I want you guys to check it out and bring feedback every step of the way. This game will only be for the phones so keep that in mind, it also uses the multi-touch features of your phone.

Last but not least. What's next for PTD? This week will be all about compiling all the feedback/ideas/suggestions that you guys have brought up, from my email, comments on the blog, comments on newgrounds, and just making a giant list of things you guys want and trying to get those in order of what you guys want the most. Besides that a couple of new features are coming:
  • The Pokemart - Buy items using special SD coins that you can get in a number of ways. (More on that below), you can also buy items with the money you earn in the game.
  • Items menu - Use items that you buy in the pokemart or get while playing the game.
  • Viridian Forest Free Roam Level - Can't capture pikachu? Want to fight higher level pokemon to level up fast? This is your place.
  • Save your profile info online - A lot of people have been asking for this, and it should make things a lot easier. You will make an account (just email and password) that will store all your pokemon info, so that you can play where ever you want and not have to fear about losing your data!
  • Other things! - I can't promise you yet but you might be getting the first Challenge mode level, can you beat brock without your nice little Butterfree and your high level pokemon? We will find out.
Okay so more about those SD Coins (Sam Dan Coins). Well basically each day when you play the game and you log in with your online profile you will get a free SD Coin. You can use the coins to buy stuff like rare candies, evolution stones etc. Other games that I make will also give you an SD Coin per day just for login in the game. Another way to get them is to beat a challenge level, the first time you beat it you will be awarded some SD Coins. The last way, and fastest way, to get SD Coins is to buy them with real money (This is not ready yet.)

Again let me know what you think in the comments below or just send me an email. Lastly just reminding you guys about the Mystery Code.

Also don't forget to get your Shiny Starter, by donating any amount you will receive a code that you can put in the mystery gift and change your starter into a shiny. Also if you donate 10 or more you will also get rare candies and evolutions stone, finally if you donate 20 or more you will get all the previous gifts plus your very own shiny Mew!  To donate click on the donate button on the top right corner of the page.

NOTE: I'm currently giving out the shiny starters the other gifts will be given out this week coming up.

Pokemon Tower Defense: Level 6 is out!

Quick post, Level 6 is finally out!

Newgrounds might take a while to update to the newest version keep that in mind. Other websites basically stole the game from newgrounds so they won't have newer versions. Unless I go send it to them.

You can find the links to download the apk, and newgrounds on the Download Game tab.

Also don't forget to get your Shiny Starter, by donating any amount you will receive a code that you can put in the mystery gift and change your starter into a shiny. Pokemon Tower Defense: Level 6 progress, Weekly Updates, and more.

UPDATE 3: Level is about 85.111233232% done! About an hour if everything goes smoothly!

UPDATE 2: Update is still coming tonight, just a heads up this next level is going to be a free roam level, meaning no candy, you can capture everything in the level, bunch of waves. The levels are design as a good way to level up and capture pokemon, however no money will be awarded in the free roam levels. If I have some extra time I will include 2 free roam levels in this update so that it's easier to get pikachu.

UPDATE: This next update will be done by Sunday night the latest, won't be done today Saturday :( Thanks for your patience.

Hey guys! It's me again, so it looks like most of you want the updates to come on a weekly basis (me too!). I think that looking forward to an update on a weekly basis is fun, it reminds me of waiting each week for my favorite tv show to come on so I can watch it. Out of 2442 (I swear this thing got reset or something) 21% wanted monthly big juicy updates but, 78% wanted weekly quick updates!

This next poll is about where you play the game, I'm interest to see which version I should focus on more.

I'm making a list for level 6 so you guys can see where the progress is at, I must note that coming up with a level probably takes longer than actually making it.

New Pokemon, with all Moves up to lvl 20:
  • Spearow with 3 new moves (100% done)
  • Nidoran Male with 1 new move (100% done)
  • Nidoran Female with 1 new move (100%, done)
  • Jigglypuff with 4 new moves (100% done)
  • Mankey with 3 new moves (100% done) (Not doing the move Covet since there are no items)
New Evolutions with all Moves up to lvl 20:
  • Nidorina no new moves (100% done)
  • Nidorino no new moves (100% done)
  • Fearow no new moves (100% done)
Also don't forget to get your Shiny Starter, by donating any amount you will receive a code that you can put in the mystery gift and change your starter into a shiny. Also if you donate 10 or more you will also get rare candies and evolutions stone, finally if you donate 20 or more you will get all the previous gifts plus your very own shiny Mew!  To donate click on the donate button on the top right corner of the page.

NOTE: I'm currently giving out the shiny starters the other gifts will be given out at a later date.

A fan of the game, Peter Thompson, wrote a great article that has to do with this game. You guys should check it out ! http://thompsonpeters.blogspot.com/2011/03/whats-in-game-would-roselia-by-any.html

Also I'm making a tab with the latest links to the game, so that it's easier to find, but I will post them here just in case.
